>Houston Marketing Workshop Rescheduled

>

Yes, Hurricane Ike threw a wrench in a lot of plans, including marketing plans. Just yesterday, the Houston Small Business Development Center was able to get back into their offices. Their website and phones had been down since the arrival of Ike.

I had been scheduled to conduct my full-day DIY Marketing for Small Businesses workshop this week, but the event has been rescheduled for November 5th. Small businesses may now register for the event with the Houston Small Businesses Development Center. If you register online you can save twenty dollars.

During this full-day seminar a small business is able to build a marketing plan based on the four spots of the Small Business Marketing model.

  • Branding – Brand your business while getting a brand promise and a signature (tagline)
  • Experience – Organize your customer experience around a theme and then map it out with magic spots
  • Conversation – Identify your word of mouth message and then choose a tactic to stimulate conversation
  • Promotion – Develop your advertising/promotional strategy and craft your message.

You can see a condensed version of the material online in our Build Your Marketing Plan series. Also, check out this video of past events:
