>Marketing Workshop: Savannah, Georgia

>

I’m off to beautiful Savannah, Georgia tomorrow for a couple of events with the Savannah Small Business Chamber. Carol Kirchner of Smart Feet in Savannah promises I won’t want to leave after visiting the city.

On Thursday evening, May 14th, I’ll be keynoting the Small Business Chamber 2009 Awards Gala (pdf), which includes networking before, and a trade show after, the awards. I’ll be speaking about Growing in to Your Identity, a topic I blogged about at the end of last year, yet seems to be just as appropriate in the middle of the year. While many businesses are looking for ways to maintain and survive during a recession, I contend you still need to grow. However, the growth is not about numbers. It’s about the growth of your business identity.

On Friday morning, May 15th, I’ll host a branding workshop for the Savannah Small Business Chamber. During the two hour workshop, we’ll help local entrepreneurs build a brand identity for their business. What does that mean? To preview the event, this past week I worked with Jamestown Designer Kitchens of Savannah. You can see how we worked on their brand identity in the case study on this blog: Branding a Kitchen Remodeling Business.

If you’re an entrepreneur in the Savannah area, please contact the Savannah Small Business Chamber for more information. Be sure to find me and introduce yourself.
