What a difference a year makes. One year ago today The Marketing Spot blog did not exist, and I had not yet heard of Drew McLellan and Gavin Heaton. But after some encouragement from John Moore and reading Bob Bly’s Blog Schmog, I decided to give it a go. Thus, I entered the age of conversation.
Shortly afterward, I heard of this thing called The Age of Conversation. Wow, a collaborative book by 100+ different authors from all over the world. Now that was cool! At the time I had no clue that I would be a contributor to the sequel. And that is part of the magic of the age of conversation. Anyone can be a participant.
But in this enchanting age, are there still some people who just don’t get it? Must be, because when authors and readers of this year’s book got to vote on a theme, they chose: “Why don’t they get it?” Who is “they?” What is it they don’t get? Those are just some of the questions that will be answered by the 275 authors slated to contribute a chapter to the 2008 edition of the book. In an added twist, the book will be divided into eight topics. Stay tuned for more information on Age of Conversation: Why Don’t People Get It?
