>Podcasting, Speaking, SWOMing and Socializing

>

I’m back from a blogging hiatus while I worked on my upcoming ebook. But lots has been happening. So excuse me while I talk about me.

The Age of Conversation Podcast
I am a contributor to the soon-to-be-released Age of Conversation 2: Why Don’t They Get It? I also have the privilege of producing and hosting the official podcast. The first episode is out, you can listen here: Age of Conversation Podcast. The guests are Drew McLellan and Gavin Heaton, creators and editors of the project. Hear how the idea of a collaborative book was hatched and how they manage 237 authors. It’s quite a story.

Creating a Remarkable Customer Experience
On October 22nd, I’ll be speaking at the Hewitt Chamber of Commerce Building Business Luncheon. The subject will be Creating a Remarkable Customer Experience. This will be an extension of the speech I did last month for the National Association for Female Executives and will contain more practical how-to information. Get more information here: Creating a Remarkable Customer Experience

SWOMFest
One of the best word-of-mouth books ever is Creating Customer Evangelists. I consider it a tactical handbook and refer to it weekly. Authors Ben McConnell and Jackie Huba have formed the Society for Word of Mouth and are hosting the first ever SWOMFest on October 30th in Austin, Texas. I’m paying money to attend and I recommend that you do also. You can register here: SWOMFest Registration.

Social Media Breakfast
I’m hosting a Waco Social Media Breakfast on Tuesday, November 11th. The Social Media Breakfast was founded by Bryan Person in August 2007 as an event where social media experts and newbies alike come together to eat, meet, share, and learn. The past two months I’ve attended the Austin Social Media breakfast and thought it would be a good event to have in Waco. Our first guest speaker and conversation leader will be none other than Bryan Person. If you are in the Central Texas area, register now as there are a limited number of free tickets available.
