>UPDATE 11/19/07: Larry emailed me and said that response on November 15th was very exciting. He is waiting on the results from my publisher on the amount raised for charity. It will be in the thousands (as far as monies raised) which is wonderful.
Some other highlights on the release of the book:
- The book climbed to the number 3 spot on the Amazon bestseller list in
marketing within hours of the release (Amazon calculates this based on sales
per hour), overtaking books like Purple Cow, Sales Bible and Long Tail. - The book sat atop 3 of Amazons bestseller lists for business books.
- It sat on the bestsellers list in marketing for five days.
Congratulations, Larry!
Tomorrow (Thursday, November 15th) you can buy a book that serves two purposes. Learn some, and give some.
If you purchase Mommy, Where do Customers Come From? on the 15th, author Larry Bailin tells me that all the proceeds will go to charity. Those charities are the American Cancer Society, Michael J. Fox’s Parkinson’s Foundation, American Heart Association and the Special Olympics.
I haven’t read the book yet, although I plan to read it soon. Unfortunately, that means I cannot give you a review. However, I will say this about the author. I met Larry at the BlogWorld Expo last week in Las Vegas. We had a great conversation and it is clear that Larry knows marketing and he knows business. Larry was also supportive and encouraging when I told him of my plans to write a book.
Based on my meeting with Larry, I purchased a copy of the book at BlogWorld so I can legitimately recommend that you do so too. So if you feel so inclined, order the book here: Mommy, Where do Customers Come From?
